A new day means new adventures on the horizon and I am so excited you guys! On Monday I’m going to be flying out to California for the first time—LA and Coachella are calling my name! At first I had a few reservations about going to Los Angeles because I’d heard mixed reviews from friends who had been before. But then I figured it would be better to experience the city and culture first hand because I think the key to really enjoying yourself anywhere is knowing where to go. All I know is that the sun is shining there right now, so it will feel like a dream to momentarily escape from these rainy days in Amsterdam. Maybe I’ll bring the sun back with me? A
But before heading off for some fun in the sun, I wanted to experiment a bit with this incredibly beautiful pant suit from Via Delle Perle. The Italian company’s ability to combine fabric, texture, cut and color to create contemporary feminine pieces is just one of the reasons I like them so much. This ensemble definitely makes a statement by itself and doesn’t need to be overly styled or accessorized. I think that the mixture of black lace with a bold pink hue on the tailored jacket and cropped pant gives off a bit of a rocker vibe that is fun but still sophisticated.
Since I wore this out to dinner one night, I made it more nighttime appropriate by wearing a deep v-neck shirt underneath the jacket. I like that it added a bit of sensuality to the edgy elegance of the suit. Even putting my hair up makes it a little more sleek, don’t you think? You can also alter your look depending on what shirt you decide to pair the jacket with, whether it’s a white blouse or t-shirt, it all depends on the occasion! Even wearing this blazer with a pair of jeans and sneakers would be a great dressed-down daytime look. The more versatile the pant suit the better!
