Ruins of statues, monuments, and other buildings: today's biggest tourist magnet called Foro Romano used to be the center of Rome. During our visit, I immediately got immersed by the Roman antiquity and imagined how the people lived here centuries ago. Criminal trials, gladiatorial matches, and public speeches were held here: things I can only imagine thanks to movies and books about the Roman history. This archaeological park was the ideal location to start off our trip to the Italian capital city.
Although, I can appreciate that we're able to enjoy the four seasons at home, I really felt at my best in Rome with warm summerlike temperatures. Seriously, nothing can make me happier than the sun. This weather allowed me to wear one of those playful dresses I always love to wear when I want to feel comfortable but on the other side still look like I put some effort into my look. The same holds for the dresses I wore in Venice (see here and here), do you remember?
It's such a coincidence that yesterday I shared another pink dress with you on the blog. They both are definitely made for two completely different occasions. I could sport yesterday's pink leather dress during almost all seasons for a nice dinner. But the dress from today's post has a romantic feel thanks to the lace on the back and the off-shoulder parts. And because of the light flowy material it's suitable for warm summer weather. Perfect for when you're planning to visit a tropical location in the middle of winter, don't you think?
