Searching for some new beauty inspiration? As you know I’m always on the look for some new looks to try out, whether it's in fashion of in beauty, and I just love to experiment with different styles. Now I’ve noticed this summer beauty trend I wanted to share with you: the pink eyeliner.
After the invasion of the orange lips during this spring season at the catwalk and in the streets, for summer there’s a new trend area coming up for a pop of bright colour, namely your eyes. The summer 2014 Dior make-up collection inspired me to spice up the already well-known classic black eyeliner, and choose coloured eyeliner instead. I’ve picked the shiny pink liner as according to the famous Dior look (which I love!), but you can choose among many other trendy colours. A They all will round off your look with a chic and feminine touch.
How To:
Before you put on the coloured liner, put on some white liner (Nars, White eye pencil) first, because it makes the application of the coloured one more easy, but most of all it delivers a more intense colour payoff. Then it's time for the magic: I used the Dior Addict IT-line 879 eye-liner to create the perfect pink eye-liner, and of course like I always do make sure to wing the eyeliner out so your eyes will appear bigger. After you styled it off with mascara and in my case lashes (Mac 7), put some silver liner (Catrice) into the inner corners of your eyes for some extra dimension. Then I finished of my face with my current favourite blush (Lancome, Sorbet de Corail) and highlighter (The Balm, Mary-Lou Manizer).
For those who are a bit shy to use these bright coloured eyeliners, I’ll suggest opting for a softer pink colour, like a powder pink shade. This still will give you a fresher look. On the other hand you can pimp up your eye liner even more by adding some sparkles or coloured diamonds next to your eyes. With this arty-look I’ll ensure you standout during a party, and since the festival season is already started I think this would be a fun idea to try out. I dare you, festival lovers! A
